This behavior is most likely to occur if your domain controllers are running Windows Server or later, and users attempt to connect by using a customized connection app. In particular, applications that access the user's profile information in Active Directory will be denied access. This behavior results from a change to Windows. Follow the steps in this section carefully. Serious problems might occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Before you modify it, back up the registry for restoration in case problems occur.
To enable the legacy RCM behavior on a server other than a RD Session Host server, configure these registry entries and the following additional registry entry and then restart the service :. This section addresses three common scenarios where a user can't sign in to a remote desktop using a smart card.
The RDSH server is hosted in the root domain. Users at the branch site belong to a child domain, and use smart cards for authentication.
When users try to sign in to sessions on the RDSH server, they receive messages such as "The attempted logon is invalid. This is either due to a bad username or authentication information. When a user receives the "invalid" error, that means the two keys don't match.
Be advised that all of these solutions require compromises in either performance or security level. When users attempt to sign in using a smart card, they are denied access with messages such as "No valid certificates found. To continue this discussion, please ask a new question. Monday, April 22, AM. What mode are you using to connect? Also make sure the Passive ports are open in NSG.
Regards, Msrini. Hello, Thanks for answer me. Sorry, my FTP server is out azure I think the ports are closed, and its a security problem. How can I check passive ports are open in NSG? When I tried to close it, it just kept coming back on. So I didn't know what to do and being time limited, I called the number.
Got a foreign technician and he asked what the problem was, I told him. I wanted to just shut off my computer. He said that wouldn't help. So I let him go into my computer which I watched on the screen. He cleaned out a bunch of stuff, and was talking to me while doing all of this. I told him I was worried he was the hacker and he said no this is not true. This time, this tech's supervisor, supposedly, called me and went over everything what occurred, etc.
I asked if they still had control of my computer and he said as soon as we were done I would see that block gone and they were finished. I asked if they were from Microsoft and he said no they were an independent company.
They were browser experts. They sent me an e-mail with everything that they did and my receipt for the 2 years I signed up for which I can call them at any time if I had and problems with my printer, computer, etc. Their address is River Side, CA. They do have a big web site which I felt better about but still am leery that they may have a lot of my financial information. Just need to know if Microsoft ever puts a message out that warns you that someone is trying to hack into your computer.
