Windows bootcamp multiple monitors

Additionally, only in Bootcamp Windows 10 the second Lightning port on the laptop does not seem to work. Any monitor plugged into the second port as the only monitor is not recognised. All drivers are apparently up to date, both operating systems have been recently reinstalled and up to date.

Looking up the issue I have not found any solutions that work, I have restarted the computer several times, with monitors plugged in and not plugged in, even reset the SMC. I am really hoping I can operate dual external monitors on Windows as I need to be using some Windows specific software for work, and dual displays are much nicer to work with.

Any help is much appreciated! This sounds related to the symptom that others are seeing with "No HDMI Signal" or similar--it's a symptom from the monitor when it is turned on.

To manage this transition it is helpful to have Narrator running so you can know what you should be seeing. Hey, thanks for your help! Sadly, this hasn't solved the problem. I have tried this with the laptop open and closed turned off sleep mode when the lid is closed , and still no dual external monitors!

Interestingly, when the computer is restarted, it boots with the windows logo displaying on the monitor plugged into the lightning port, but as soon as the login screen appears, it is displayed on the other monitor and the first monitor turns black, then goes into sleep mode.

It does not say "no Display port signal" like it would if I unplugged it, it simply goes to power saving sleep mode, as if I put my computer to sleep. Since I don't have any choice, this is not really an acceptable answer to me, especially because it works fine under MacOS. Clearly there's a driver issue under Windows, which no one wants to take responsibility for.

Jul 20, PM in response to chlopez In response to chlopez Just did that yesterday - just to see if it would work. I had previously, a few days ago, installed, booted into and used Windows XP with a single monitor - a 22 inch lcd.

The second monitor is 19 inches, and I tested that dual monitor set up yesterday. The second monitor did not work when I first booted up in Windows, although it was working fine in the Mac OS. That did not work the first time. I rebooted and tried it again, and both monitors are now operational. The default resolution is x or something like that , so setting the correct resolutions was the next step.
